The Commission will be discussing its low-income toll program proposal at upcoming public meetings. Here’s a look at the current timeline for advancing the discount program:
- Transportation Commission Meeting, June 17 (3:00 pm): Virtual and in-person testimony taken.
- July 7 (6:30 p.m.): Virtual public input meeting on low-income toll discount proposal.
- Transportation Commission meeting, July 21 (Time TBD): Virtual testimony will be taken, and the Commission will consider making a final decision on the proposed low-income toll discount program.
- Fall 2026: If the program is approved by the Commission, WSDOT will carry out program engagement and enrollment.
- December 2026: If the program is approved by the Commission, the low-income toll discount program is implemented on the SR 167 and SR 509 Expressways.
- 2027 and beyond: Monitor and assess program performance.
