This online open house is hosted by the Washington State Transportation Commission and is intended to share information and gather public feedback on a proposed low-income toll discount for eligible individuals on the SR 509 Expressway and SR 167 Expressway.
The proposed low-income toll rate discounts would initially apply to the expressway portions circled in green below.
SR 509 Expressway
The new tolled SR 509 Expressway will extend from South 188th Street in Burien to I-5 in SeaTac near South 212th Street.
Low-Income Toll Discount Proposal
The Commission is proposing the following low-income toll discount policies, beginning with the SR 509 and SR 167 Expressways:
- A low-income toll discount of 50% off the applicable Good To Go! pass toll rate for two-axle vehicles.
- To be eligible, customers would need a household income of no more than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
