Inrix 2023 Global Traffic Scorecard

The 2023 Global Traffic Scorecard provides three years of mobility data for the world’s most-congested areas. This presentation will provide an overview of post-COVID commute patterns, travel delay comparisons, and costs of congestion to drivers and regions.

Washington Transportation Plan
Presenter: Jonathan Overman, Senior Associate, Cambridge Systematics
The Commission is updating Washington’s 20-year statewide transportation plan, which provides the long-term road map for our state’s transportation future. An overview will be provided of the public input collected to date, and the Commission will discuss approaches to structuring the plan and how it is advanced for further public review.

Route Jurisdiction Study Update

Steve Gorcester, Chief Executive Officer, Performance Plane LLC
The Commission is conducting a route jurisdiction study aimed at assessing the current state highway system to determine if changes are needed, as well as determining how such changes in jurisdiction could be measured and advanced in the future. An update will be provided on the study, and the Commission will discuss the mechanics of how the highway system could be assessed in the study and approaches to improving current law criteria for determining possible changes.

Work Session – WSTC’s 2024-25 Annual Report to the Legislature
Presenter: Paula Reeves, Senior Policy Analysist, Washington State Transportation Commission
The Commission provides a public forum for the development of transportation policy that includes coordination with regional transportation planning organizations, transportation stakeholders, counties, cities, and citizens. Based on input collected throughout the year, the Commission makes policy recommendations to the governor and legislature. This work session will review possible topics and recommendations to be included in WSTC’s 2024-25 Annual Report.
