Increasing Truck Parking Availability

In January 2024, the United States Department of Transportation announced the award of a $12 million grant to Washington, Oregon, and California to provide truck drivers with real-time truck parking availability information. This presentation will provide an update on the grant and priorities for increasing truck parking statewide.

Route Jurisdiction Study Update

The Commission is conducting a route jurisdiction study aimed at assessing the current state highway system to determine if changes are needed in jurisdictional assignments between the state, counties, and cities. An update will be provided summarizing the history and current statutes, current practices in other states, and highlights of recent interviews with agency and community partners.
