The Commission will be reviewing monthly traffic and revenue data throughout the year and reserves the right to adjust the rates before June 30, 2009 should revenue collections drop below needed levels to pay for bond payments and allowable costs.
Should rates need to be adjusted at any time, a full public review and input process will be conducted prior to any final decisions being made.
April 2009
The CAC met on April 2. It was decided that they would continue to recommend toll rates be kept at their current levels. They presented their recommendations to the Commission at their April meeting in Olympia.

The Commission met on April 22 and accepted the CAC recommendations to keep current rates in effect, subject to traffic volumes continuing at levels necessary to generate adequate revenue to cover required costs.
March 2009
At the Commission's March meeting, traffic and revenue data was presented by the Department of Transportation indicating revenues had come in under what was forecasted over prior months. This trend could result in significant revenue shortfalls thus threatening the ability of the state to make the bond payments.
Because of this fact, the Commission issued a rate adjustment proposal that would increase the toll rates for transponder users from the current $2.75 to $3.25.
This new proposal required the CAC to reconvene to consider the Commission's proposal, review the latest traffic and revenue data, and then report back to the Commission with their rate recommendations based upon the new information.
December 2008
The CAC submitted its 2009/10 toll recommendations at the Commission's December 2008 meeting in Olympia - they recommended current toll rates be kept in effect for the next fiscal year:
- $2.75 for electronic transponder users
- $4 for cash payers
