The 60th Legislature passed and the Governor signed Senate Joint Memorial 8024 requesting the Transportation Commission commence proceedings to name Highway 112 in Clallam County between the junction of Highway 101 and the junction of Highway 113 the "Vietnam War Veterans' Memorial Highway" to honor the service and sacrifices of all who served in the Vietnam War.

The Washington State Transportation Commission recognizes and deeply appreciates the outstanding and endless contribution of Dale F. Stedman to the State of Washington and its transportation system, and wishes him well in his future endeavors.

The Washington State Transportation Commission expresses its appreciation to and respect for Oliver “Punks” Smith by naming the 172nd Street overpass of Interstate 5 in the city of Arlington the "Oliver ‘Punks’ Smith Interchange.
